Specialty classes and workshops

In response to COVID-19, AHS is working to safely resume services in phases.

Currently, specialty classes and workshops are available in-person with enhanced safety protocols. Private training sessions and group obedience courses are available both online and in-person.

If you're currently enrolled in a training program at AHS and have questions or want to resume your pass, please call 763-489-2217.

Specialty classes focus on building specific skills so that your dog can master things like remaining calm while around other dogs, scent detection, and so much more.

Note: In response to COVID-19, we have implemented several new safety protocols. Before registering for an in-person class, please be aware that only one person (over 18 years of age) may attend class with their dog and a face mask must be worn at all times. You will also be asked to complete a brief health screening upon entry.

Rally Obedience

Rally Obedience is a fun, engaging activity you can do with your dog that doesn’t require lots of equipment. Plus, it can be practiced both inside and outside of class. Rally is a sport in which dog and handler navigate through a numbered course of designated stations (“Halt-Down” and “About Turn” are examples).  Rally is not as rigorous as traditional obedience, and can be great fun for dogs and humans alike!
