Explore Animal Humane Society!

Visit one of our locations for a group tour led by a professional humane educator. Learn more about the history of AHS, the animals we care for, the services we provide, and more. Tours are offered throughout the year by appointment, and can often be combined with a classroom programReservations are required for all tours.

Cost: $20 (plus $1 per person exceeding 20 for Golden Valley tours)
Length of tour: 45-60 minutes
Minimum age: Participants must be at least 6 years old.

Group size: Tours require a minimum of five people; maximum number of people, including children and adults, are as follows:

  • Golden Valley: 20-40 attendees, depending on educator availability
  • Woodbury, Coon Rapids: 15 attendees

Times vary by location:

  • Golden Valley: Monday-Friday 9 AM - 8 PM
  • Coon Rapids:  Monday-Thursday 9 AM - 6 PM; Friday 9 AM - 8 PM
  • Woodbury:  Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, 9 AM - 5:45 PM., Tuesday & Friday 9 AM - 8 PM
