Visit our shelter for a group tour of the adoptable animals led by a professional humane educator, as well as a visit with an adoptable animal. Learn more about the history of AHS, the animals we care for, the services we provide, and more.
Tours are currently offered September through May by appointment and can be combined with a group program. For summer availability, please reach out to the education team.
Reservations are required for all tours.
Shelter Tour details
Length of tour: 30-45 minutes
Cost: Tours start at $70
Minimum age: Participants must be at least 6 years old.
Group size: Tours have a 10-person minimum charge. Maximum capacity at the Golden Valley location is 20 participants, and 15 participants at other sites. We can accommodate larger groups by scheduling multiple tours. Capacity includes all children and adults attending the tour.
Availability: Tours are available Monday - Friday, 9:30 AM - 3 PM. Please contact us for tour availability outside these hours.
