Animal Humane Society receives no federal, state, or local government funding. Seventy percent of our operating budget comes from people like you. Without your help, we would not be able to make a positive difference in the lives of people and pets.
There are many ways you can support the programs and services at AHS and help homeless animals get a second chance.
Host your own fundraiser or event
You can give on your own, or you can work together with friends and family!
From lemonade stands and car washes to birthdays and weddings, you can turn any occasion into an opportunity to make a difference.
Other ways to support AHS:
- Donate to our wish list (view our Amazon and Chewy wish lists or learn about donating gently used pet supplies, household products, and more)
- Use our Chewy referral code to donate $15 of your first purchase (from our wishlist or not!) to AHS
- Wear your heart on your sleeve and purchase Animal Humane Society merch
- Coordinate a service project
Minnesota Charities Review Council’s Standards of Accountability state that at least 70% of an organization’s annual expenses must be directed toward program activity with no more than 30% for management, general, and fundraising expenses combined. In 2023, Animal Humane Society exceeded this standard by directing 75% of our expenses back into programming and services for animals and the community.
