AHS responds to surge in demand for veterinary services

Animal Humane Society's Veterinary Centers, located in Golden Valley and St. Paul, are helping more pets than ever as the need for low-cost pet care surges. Much of the increase in demand for vet services can be attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Changes to our adoption process

While our adoption centers remain closed to the public, we’ve updated our adoption by appointment process to welcome adopters back into our shelters to meet all of the available animals before making an adoption decision.

Kick a few bad habits with specialty training courses

Some dogs just can't contain their excitement. They might jump on guests when they visit or do a few destructive laps around the house when you return home from errands. Good news! AHS is hosting two specialty workshops ― Four on the Floor and and Control Yourself ― that will teach you how to help your dog build better habits.

A better world for animals is a better world for us all

Animals bring us joy, comfort, and unconditional love everyday. Their companionship, especially during times of crisis, can be critical to our health and well-being — and sometimes even life saving.

As long as there are animals who need us, AHS will be there. Because a better world for animals, is a better world for us all.
