Unique summer volunteer experience for high school students

Join us for an unforgettable summer of helping animals by participating in our Summer Animal Volunteer Experience – S.A.V.E. This uniquely-designed program is open to high school students entering grades 10-12 and recent high school graduates who want to volunteer with Animal Humane Society over the course of one summer.

Animal Humane Society is in need of enthusiastic and motivated volunteers to cover a variety of volunteer shifts at our five locations. As a S.A.V.E. volunteer, you will ensure our animals receive excellent care and socialization as they await new homes. You will assist customers interested in adopting and provide support for our animals' daily needs. You will be fully trained for your volunteer role and the commitment is easy and flexible!

Not only will you have a huge impact on our animals over this summer, you will also build your resume and be able to explore career options in the animal welfare field. S.A.V.E offers the opportunity for participants to shadow staff in a variety of fields such as Animal Care and Veterinary Services.
