Animal Humane Society is committed to creating a more humane and compassionate community for everyone. We are united not just in our love for animals but in our love for one another.

Our hearts are heavy as our community confronts yet another tragedy against people of color. The senseless death of George Floyd last May and the recent death of Daunte Wright are painful reminders of the inhumanity and systemic injustice people of color continue to face every day. We mourn their deaths, and we stand with the Black community as we call for justice and await the verdict of the Derek Chauvin trial.

Creating a more humane and compassionate community means speaking out against injustice and standing with those who seek systemic change, justice, and equity for all.
