Animal Humane Society Youth Club

Animal Humane Society Youth Club is perfect for students grades 5-7 who want to take a closer look at animal welfare issues currently affecting our shelter and community. Youth Club members learn about the important work we do at AHS while participating in service projects, craft and games, and interacting with animals. It’s an insider’s experience you’ll never forget!

Youth Club membership is $75 per semester and includes:

  • All materials needed for crafts, projects, or activities
  • A Youth Club T-shirt

Club members meet twice a month from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at our Woodbury or Golden Valley locations.

Spring 2017 schedule

Golden Valley, Wednesdays: First and third Wednesday of each month (January 18, February 1 and 15, March 1 and 15, April 5 and 19)

Golden Valley, Thursdays:  First and third Thursday of each month (January 19, February 2 and 16, March 2 and 16, April 6 and 20)

Youth Club is not a volunteer program. While some animal time will be included in most club meetings, participants should not expect to spend significant time with animals waiting for adoption. Animal time may also include meeting and learning about non-shelter animals, such as service dogs or therapy animals.
