Animal Humane Society Youth Club is perfect for students grades 5-7 who want to take a closer look at animal welfare issues currently affecting our shelter and community. Youth Club members learn about the important work we do at AHS while participating in service projects, craft and games, and interacting with animals. It’s an insider’s experience you’ll never forget!
Youth Club membership is $75 per semester and includes:
Club members meet twice a month from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at our Woodbury or Golden Valley locations.
Woodbury: First and third Tuesday of each month starting September 20.
Golden Valley: First and third Wednesday of each month starting September 21 OR first and third Thursday of each month starting September 15. (Please note the October 20 session will move to October 27 to accommodate local school closures.)
Fall meetings will run through mid-December.
Space is limited, and memberships are available on a first-come, first-served basis. New members are welcome any time! Members joining after the first meeting will pay a prorated registration fee.
Youth Club is not a volunteer program. While some animal time will be included in most club meetings, participants should not expect to spend significant time with animals waiting for adoption. Animal time may also include meeting and learning about non-shelter animals, such as service dogs or therapy animals.
