If you have questions about microchipping your dog or cat, call our Pet Helpline at 952-435-7738.
If you recently adopted a pet from Animal Humane Society, you should have received information about microchipping options or changing information attached to an existing microchip. If you want to microchip your pet, check out our microchip and nail clinics, held at each of our four locations throughout the month. Find a time and location that’s convenient for you.
Animals that come to us may already have microchips. If your pet does have a microchip and you need to change the contact information on it, check out the list below of common microchip companies. If you don’t know which company your pet’s microchip is associated with, you may have to look up the ID number in each database, or through the Pet Microchip Lookup.
Registration or transfer requirements vary by company.
