Adoption agreement
- I have received and taken ownership of the pet described above.
- I understand that I am legally responsible for this pet, its actions and the costs of future care.
- I understand that AHS has examined this pet but makes no warranty regarding its health, temperament, breed or training. I accept the pet "as is," assume all risks and responsibilities associated with owning the pet, and fully and completely release and hold harmless AHS and its staff, volunteers and agents from any claim, cause of action or liability associated with the adoption, care, ownership, temperament or condition of the pet.
- If the pet is not the right fit for my home, I may return it within 7 days for a refund or 60 days for a credit certificate valid towards the adoption of another pet, purchase of merchandise or a donation to Animal Humane Society. The credit certificate is valid for 90 days and can be used at any AHS location.
Return policy
We want your pet adoption at Animal Humane Society (AHS) to be one of your happiest memories and we are committed to your satisfaction with your pet adoption. If, for any reason, the pet you chose does not work out, you may return it within 7 days for a full refund or 60 days for a credit towards the adoption of another pet.
