Volunteer opportunities for youth

You must be 16 years or older to volunteer at Animal Humane Society sites or events. Many of the animals that come to us have unknown histories. All people working at our shelters need to be able to manage unpredictable situations. In order to ensure the safety of the animals, staff and volunteers, Animal Humane Society has determined that youth under the age of 16 are not appropriate for volunteering with the organization.
