Thanks for your interest in helping the animals at Animal Humane Society. There are many ways for groups and individuals to help us serve animals. Some ideas include:
- Project Purpose, Project Purpose will give kids ages 12-15 a deeper understanding of the work AHS does through hands-on service learning projects. Project Purpose can be used to fulfill school or club community service requirements, too!
- Host a fundraiser, like a bake sale or car wash, to benefit Animal Humane Society.
- Organize a supply drive to collect the things we need most from our wish list, including items from your home that can be reused to help animals in our shelters.
- Host a group craft-making project to make toys and even outdoor shelters.
Donated items can be brought to the customer service counter at any AHS location during regular business hours. No appointment is necessary.
Groups are also welcome to schedule a tour of one of our facilities at the time they bring in their donations. Tours last approximately one hour and there is a $1 per person fee for tours, with a $20 minimum. We are fully booked! Golden Valley tours are available starting in August 2018; Coon Rapids, Woodbury, and St. Paul starting in September 2018.
