Beat the heat - and boredom - with a dog enrichment treat! Animal Humane Society partnered with Must be Ruff to bring you a tasty and cool way to help your dog thrive through hot summer days. 

Not only are these a sweet and healthy treat for your pup, but this recipe also doubles as an enrichment brain game.

Frozen KONG Recipe

Prepare this pup treat ahead of a hot summer day for tail-wagging goodness! 


  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter (xylitol free)
  • 1 tablespoon plain, unsweetened Greek Yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin puree 
  • 1 teaspoon natural honey


  1. Choose a KONG size appropriate for your dog
  2. Combine the ingredients and mix
  3. Fill the KONG with the mixed ingredients
  4. Freeze for several hours
  5. Serve to your dog for tail-wagging goodness
