The Pack is a group of young professionals who are passionate about animals and Animal Humane Society. We gather to learn about, take part in, and advocate for the work that Animal Humane Society does while creating an environment for animal lovers to share ideas and build relationships.

Saturday, December 9, 4 – 7 p.m. – Holiday Party, Now Boarding, 6002 28th Ave. S., Minneapolis, MN 55450

‘Tis the season … to party! Our annual holiday party is back with more fun. Get together with other Pack members while your dog plays in Now Boarding’s premier daycare area. Party guests will enjoy:

  • Photos with Santa
  • Drinks and appetizers
  • Decorating cookies and dog biscuits
  • Making enrichment toys for shelter animals (or bring a donation from our wish list)
  • A special gift for guests

If you plan to bring your dog, you must also bring a completed waiver. Rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and bordetella vaccinations are required for your dog to enter Now Boarding.

This event is free for Pack members and $5 for guests. RSVP is required.

January 13, 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. — Cat Yoga, Golden Valley AHS, 845 Meadow Lane N., Golden Valley, MN 55422

Join the Pack for cat yoga at our Golden Valley location! Bring yourself, a yoga mat, and a bottle of water for an hour long yoga class with fellow Pack members while also interacting with adoptable cats. Pack members will receive an email with details about how to RSVP for this event.

Want to help dogs in shelter by providing them with some enrichment toys? Support dogs at Animal Humane Society by making snuffle mats and other enrichment toys to make their stay in the shelter as easy and stress-free as possible. Food and drinks will be provided. Details on how to RSVP will be provided at a later date.

How/when can I become a member of the Pack?

Paid membership includes one year of Pack events and benefits. If funds are tight, you can fill out and submit the Pack membership fee waiver application. The Board will review these applications and contact chosen applications to let them know their membership fees will be waived.

  • Access to exclusive volunteer experiences for the Pack, like “Precious Cargo” where you can help with the arrival of a transport of dogs by bathing puppies and getting dogs settled for their first night in Minnesota

What is the advisory board?

The advisory board is a group of Animal Humane Society staff and non-staff members who lead the Pack. They plan the programs, communicate with members, support membership, and ensure activities follow the mission of The Pack and Animal Humane Society.
