The Pack is a group of young professionals who are passionate about animals and Animal Humane Society. We gather to learn about, take part in, and advocate for the work that Animal Humane Society does while creating an environment for animal lovers to share ideas and build relationships.
October 7 – Pints & Pups, Boom Island Brewing, 2014 Washington Ave. N., Minneapolis, MN 55411
Pints & Pups is back at Boom Island Brewing and the Pack Advisory Board will be there spreading the word about the great work Animal Humane Society does. Visit us at our table where we will have can coolers to give away, activities to participate in, and dogs to visit with (sorry but these dogs already have forever homes). Join us in the fun and support animal welfare in our community. We will be there from about 12- 6 pm.
October 21 – Outreach Wellness Event, Hillcrest Knoll Park, (1672 Hoyt Ave E, St Paul, MN 55106)
Animal Humane Society’s Community Outreach Program regularly hosts wellness clinics in underserved and low-income communities where residents can bring their animals for free wellness exams, vaccinations, and to sign up for free spay/neuter surgeries. On September 9th the Community Outreach department hosted its tenth Community Wellness Clinic and served more than 400 animals in 4 hours! Make a difference for pets and families in these communities by volunteering at this event!
To apply for a volunteer position, follow this link to an online application. Please note that you are a Pack member under “Special Needs or Request”. If you have any questions about the event or volunteering, please email Julie Thao. Include your name, phone number, and a note that you are a member of the Pack.

October 28, 10 a.m. — Dogs & Donuts: Trick or Treat, Battle Creek Off-Leash Dog Park (Upper Afton Rd., Maplewood, MN 55119)*
Join the Pack for this Halloween themed Dogs & Donuts! Enjoy a complimentary donut with us right outside the park from 10-10:20 am and if your dog shows us a trick they’ll get a treat (we’ll probably give them a treat even if they don’t). Then it’s into the park to hike and for the dogs play in the off-leash area. Don’t forget to bring your own coffee! If you plan to bring your dog, please review the rules for the dog park ahead of time.
*There are two parking lots at Battle Creek Dog Park – look for us at the one off Upper Afton Rd.
