The Pack is a unique program in which participants in grades 7-9 learn about animal welfare, the St. Paul community, and how students can get more involved in animal welfare! Participants must either live in or have an association to the St. Paul area, specifically zip codes: 55103, 55104, 55105, 55108 and 55114. Registration is currently limited to ten participants.
Each week, we’ll explore a new topic focused on animals, our community, and ourselves. There will be time for guest speakers, games, service projects, and visits with animals. Plus, you’ll find ways to help people and animals living in your community, as well as explore career options in animal welfare!
In this 16-week program you’ll learn about a variety of topics, including:
- community outreach and advocacy
- animal welfare and legislation
- animal-related careers
- exotic species
- and more!
Open to youth in grades 7-9. We will meet weekly, every Thursday, 4-6 PM, at St. Paul Veterinary Center (1159 University Ave. West, St. Paul).
The Fall/Spring session spans the school year, beginning September 23 - May 5. We ask that registrants are able to participate a minimum of one "semester" of the program (fall or spring).
There is no fee for The Pack, and you get a free T-shirt!
