Vikings player recognizes AHS in #MyCauseMyCleats campaign

Trae Waynes and family

December 4, 2017

If you watched the Minnesota Vikings defeat the Atlanta Falcons this past Sunday, you may have noticed a little Animal Humane Society flair on the field.

That's because Vikings cornerback Trae Waynes selected AHS as his cause for the NFL’s #MyCauseMyCleats initiative. As part of the campaign, Vikings players wore cleats representing a charity of their choice during last Sunday’s game at Atlanta. Waynes represented AHS to raise awareness for animal shelters. He and his family have a special connection to AHS; they adopted Ares, a white Pit Bull, from our Golden Valley location last March. They also have two other rescue dogs.

Waynes' cleats featured Ares’ face and the AHS logo. Thank you to Waynes and the Minnesota Vikings for shining light on animals in need!
