KARE 11 report focused on HSUS, which has no connection to AHS

A January 20 report on KARE 11 explored social media allegations about the finances and spending of the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS).  While the KARE 11 report cleared HSUS of any wrongdoing, it’s important to note that HSUS – a national organization – and Animal Humane Society – a Minnesota nonprofit – are not affiliated in any way.

While we all love animals and work to create positive experiences for them, AHS is completely independent of HSUS, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), or any other national organization.

AHS is not funded by HSUS, the ASPCA, or any state, county, or city government.

Donations to Animal Humane Society go directly to the care of animals in Minnesota, and we are grateful to the generous supporters who make our work possible.
