If you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of the camp session, your registration fee will be refunded minus a $50 administrative fee. If you cancel your registration less than 14 days prior to the start of the camp session, your registration fee will not be refunded.
If space is available, campers may transfer their registration to another camp session within the same camp season at no charge. Canceled registrations cannot be applied to registrations for the following year, nor are they transferable to other participants.
If a camp session is canceled by AHS, all registration fees will be refunded in full.
While shelter animals are an important part of Youth Camp, time in our adoption center is limited and closely monitored. Students will have daily opportunities for contact with shelter animals and visiting guests, but should not expect to spend significant amounts of time with animals the animals.
While at Youth Camp, all camp participants are expected to treat other campers, AHS staff, and animals with respect and compassion. Behavior guidelines will be reviewed with campers on the first day of each camp session. Campers who are consistently unable to follow these guidelines may be asked to leave camp for the day or may be dismissed for the remainder of the session. No refunds will be available to campers who are dismissed for behavioral reasons.
Campers who bring cell phones with them to camp may only use their phones to contact parents in the case of an emergency. Calling or texting during camp activities will not be permitted.
We have zero tolerance regarding fighting or using an object as a weapon. Likewise, the use of tobacco, drugs, or alcohol is strictly prohibited. Violation of these policies is grounds for immediate dismissal from camp. No refunds will be available to campers who are dismissed for a violation of these policies.
