Project Purpose is a unique opportunity for young animal advocates to learn more about Animal Humane Society while empowering them to help make the world a better place for animals.
Project purpose is offered for children in grades 7-10. Each session will include educational opportunities in animal welfare, daily tasks both AHS staff and volunteers complete, and participation in meaningful service projects. From providing animal enrichment and walking dogs, to supporting our veterinary services staff, this program offers students a behind-the-scenes look into working in animal welfare.
Project Purpose can also be used to fulfill school or club community service requirements.
Participants should wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing that can get dirty.
