Coffee & Companions is all about taking time to connect in-person with one another and with animals. Science tells us that interacting with animals is good for our health - decreasing stress hormones, lowering blood pressure, and decreasing feelings of loneliness.

On top of that, we know that kind, patient interaction is good for the animals in our care. Interacting with people provides shelter animals with socialization and a sense of calm in what can otherwise be a stressful environment.
