About camps for kids

Camp staff

Each camp is led by two or three camp counselors (typically teachers or college students studying education or a related field).

Camp staff training includes Red Cross CPR/first aid certification, as well safe animal handling and general emergency procedures. Animal Humane Society performs background checks on all camp staff.

Where to be and when

One week prior to the start of your virtual camp session, we will send an e-mail with a link. This link will allow you access to all materials, Zoom calls and lessons.

Campers will need access to high-speed internet, a computer, tablet or smart phone with camera and microphone. AHS will provide all materials needed for crafts and activities.

For more information about day camps, including our cancellation policy, behavior guidelines, and answers to our most frequently asked questions about camp, please review our camp policies and FAQs.
