Another shelter was caring for me before I came to Animal Humane Society to find a home.
I’m a little uncomfortable around other animals at first and require extra time, patience, and space when I am introduced to resident pets. I need to get used to other animals slowly and in small steps.
I have been treated for heartworm disease. In order to heal, I cannot have any heavy exercise for two months following my treatment. I may require medication once I go home.
Don’t forget about me! I’ve been waiting for a new home for a while. The staff and volunteers know just how special I am. I could be a great pet if you give me a chance. Please take a moment to get to know me — we might be a perfect match!
I love to be busy, both physically and mentally. I'll enjoy seeing and doing things with my new family, and prefer an active household. Energetic dogs like me need a companion who can provide adequate mental stimulation and exercise, such as running, hiking, or playing Frisbee.
