I was recently adopted from Animal Humane Society and returned because my family was unable keep me.
Affectionate dogs like me are cuddly and love snuggling and giving kisses. I might be a little shy or bashful as I adapt to a new environment, but that should be easy in a home with moderate activity.
I love to be busy, both physically and mentally. I'll enjoy seeing and doing things with my new family, and prefer an active household. Energetic dogs like me need a companion who can provide adequate mental stimulation and exercise, such as running, hiking, or playing Frisbee.
I participated in a behavior program for Possessive Pooches because I've exhibited guarding behaviors when people approach me as I'm eating or playing with a valued item (like a delicious chew toy). My new family will receive support and materials to help make my transition to a new home successful. If you have any questions about me, please see a staff member or volunteer.
I would do best in a home without cats.
Don’t forget about me! I’ve been waiting for a new home for a while. The staff and volunteers know just how special I am. I could be a great pet if you give me a chance. Please take a moment to get to know me — we might be a perfect match!
