AHS celebrates opening of new location

University Ave. ribbon cutting

Animal Humane Society recently celebrated the opening of our newest location on University Avenue in St. Paul. Our new building will serve as a hub for animal lovers in the community and cement our ties to the Frogtown neighborhood.

The University Avenue Veterinary Center currently offers training classes and houses our Pet Helpline and community outreach teams. We expect to begin providing low-cost services to the surrounding community through the Veterinary Clinic in 2020.

Our new location puts AHS in the heart of Frogtown — a community with few affordable resources for pet owners. The Community Outreach team has offered wellness clinics in the area for years, giving local residents and their pets access to vaccines, nail trims, free pet food, and more. The permanent location in the heart of Frogtown allows us to regularly offer more services to community members.

As we open the doors of our new building, we’re opening the doors to so many possibilities for animals and the people who love them.

Being embedded in the community is an important part of gaining the trust of the residents. With a brick and mortar location, we can be an even more active partner in the neighborhood — all thanks to your generous support.
