Pet Loss Support Group

A woman pets a cat that is perched on a cat climbing tree

For many of us, our pets are family members. When it's time to say goodbye, the resulting sense of loss and grief is as real and sometimes as overwhelming as when we lose a relative or human friend.

Grieving the loss of a friend or companion is a sign of the love that existed between you. The first step in coping with your grief is to acknowledge your feelings. At Animal Humane Society’s Pet Loss Support Group, you can share your feelings with others who are going through a similar experience.

This free and informal support group meets weekly and is for adults 16 years and older. Reservations are not required to attend.

Day: Every Monday*
Time: 7 p.m.
Location: AHS Golden Valley, Conference Room D

For easy and convenient access, please park in the north parking lot by our Boarding and Training facilities. The conference room is at the top of the stairs.

If you have questions, please contact Kenn at 612-730-6016 for more information.
