Stella

After getting settled into our new home, it felt like something was missing. I've had cats my whole life and decided that what our home needed was a warm, cuddley animal to love and be loved. I scoured the Animal Humane Society website daily, sure that when I saw "our" cat I would know. Sure enough, I came upon a kitten named Darla at the Buffalo location and I knew she belonged with us. In the meeting room she climbed right up on my lap and into my purse as if to say, "so, when are we going home?" When I arrived at home where my husband had some friends over to watch football, I opened up her cardboard carrier not sure of how long the transition would take, but sure enough she popped out instantly telling everyone there, "I'm here!" She then promptly spent the afteroon jumping from lap to lap, enjoying the game with her boys. Her name is now Stella and we couldn't ask for a better cat. She loves to jump, play with her toys, hide under rugs and snuggle on the heated blanket in front of the tv, especially if there is football on! She is loved and this house wouldn't be the same without her.
