Norman

Norman

My three kids and I love to go to Animal Humane Society to see the animals up for adoption. We already have a dog, a cat, a bird, a hamster and two fish. We did have two cats but sadly we had to put our beloved Duchess down and that was very sad for all of us. A few weeks later we went to the shelter to look at the animals; my two girls really wanted a kitten. We went into the cat room and saw Norman, a 20-pound eight-year-old orange tabby. He came right up to us, looking lonely as the only cat in the room. We fell in love with him. We left the shelter and talked it over with their dad when we got home. He said he would rather adopt an older cat becasue everyone wants a kitten and he felt bad for the older ones. So we hurried up with dinner and flew back to the shelter. We walked in and said, 'we want Norman!' The staff seemed happy he was getting a home. Norman fit in great; he loves to sleep with the two older girls and is very patient with our two-year-old boy. Norman is loving and fun and the kids are crazy about him. He loves to sit with you and be petted! I have never had a cat that purrs when he eats and Norman does! We are so happy with him. The older cats need love too and sweet Norman gets plenty!
