Louie

We have always wanted a dog. One day, on our way to bring my son's friend home, we drove by the Coon Rapids Animal Humane Society. I said to my husband, "we should stop there on the way back, just to go look!" My husband replied, "sure." We went in, looked at the kitties, just enough time for the kids to see them. Then we got to the dog area. We walked in, saw a few dogs, and then we saw Louie. He was so cute! We kept looking, but we were stuck on Louie. We kept going back to him. We totaly fell in love and just had to get him. We didnt have enough money to get him right away, so I kept coming back for the next two days and finally put him on 'hold.' Then the following day, we adopted him! The kids were so excited, as were we!

He adjusted to our home right away. Within a month, he felt like this was his domain. He even whines whenever our 2.5-year-old daughter cries - so cute! He likes to play with our nieghbor's dog through the fence and sometimes we let her come over to play. He loves the snow, especially playing fetch in it. It's so funny to watch him gallop through the deep snow. He is a great dog and we plan on getting him a brother or sister soon!
