Cody

Cody

On April 10, 2011, I started my new life. My name is Cody (but my friends at the Animal Humane Society know me as Fletcher). When I first got to my new home, I was timid and shy... and pretty much scared of my own shadow. My fur was yucky and I was missing patches on my legs and back. My tummy hurt all the time.

I just turned six months old last week (on July 7). I love my new family. I have a human Mom and Dad, and a human sister who is ten years old. She likes to play with me and pet me. I also have a King Charles Spaniel sister who is four years old. I don't think she liked me very much at first, but now we have lots of fun running, chasing and enjoying our yard. The best part about my yard is that we have a pond where I get to watch all sorts of other animals... geese, ducks, egrets, herons, and even the occasional deer. How fun is that!

My doctor tells my Mom and Dad that I am doing great. My fur is all grown back in and is shiny and black. I have all my big dog teeth which is good because I like to eat! My doctor says I am going to be about 50 pounds when I am all grown up.

Thank you so much Animal Humane Society for taking me in and helping me find my "forever" family!
