Clyde

About seven years ago my partner Jesse and I went to Animal Humane Society to look at dogs for a possible adoption but had nothing specific in mind. We decided to stop by the cats first but I had no plan on adopting one because by definition I wasn't really a "cat person." I immediately walked by a cage that had a fairly big 6-year-old cat that looked like Garfield, his name was Clyde. He was sitting up straight and proper and wasn't making a sound. For some reason I asked if I could take him into an adoption room to visit with him and from that moment I just knew that he would be coming home with me, I just had this feeling. 

I myself was taking a chance since I wasn't really a cat person but I went for it and cannot imagine my life any different. Clyde is a huge part of our family and I am so glad I decided that day to take a chance. He has such a warm, loving and playful personality and I feel incredibly lucky to have him in my life. He's 13 years old now but I still call him my baby.
