Birthday Parties

Celebrate your birthday with a different kind of party animal!

The Animal Humane Society is a natural location for your party animal’s next swingin’ birthday bash. It’s two hours of fun and learning that feels more like fun. Animal Humane Society is a unique destination that brings out the big “happy” in “happy birthday.”

AHS Birthday Parties include a shelter tour, educational activities, animal-themed games and crafts, and a visit from a special animal guest. Participants may also make a toy or other item to donate to a shelter animal. Parents provide food, cake or treats (we’ll provide the giddy birthday experience).

Popular party days (Friday evenings, Saturdays and no-school days) generally fill up 6-8 weeks in advance.  For best availability, call early to reserve your party. 

 
Birthday Party details:

Where: any AHS location
Who: your party animal (age 6+) and their friends (up to 15 guests at Golden Valley; up to 10 guests at all other locations)
When:Weekdays, evenings, or Saturdays – call for availability* 
(parties are not available on Sundays)
Length: 2 hours
Cost: $150 (a $50 nonrefundable deposit is required to hold a party date)
What's Included: Printable invitations for your guests, party activities led by an AHS staff educator, decorations, balloons, and small gift bags for each child. 
What's Not Included: Food, drinks, or plates/cups/etc.  Parents may choose to provide these items if they bring in what they'll need for serving.  2-hour party time includes any time required for preparing/serving food or opening gifts.
