Programs for youth

We can’t teach your favorite kids to sit, stay or roll over, but we can teach them some of life’s lessons in a fun and exciting way—with animals!

The opportunities are endless at the Animal Humane Society—from birthday parties to our PetSet Youth Club and summer camps. The following is just a sampling of what your kids can accomplish through participation in our youth programs:

• Gain knowledge of animal welfare issues and their affect on the community as a member of our PetSet Youth Club
• Experience hands-on learning with a variety of animal-related activities during our Unleashed summer camps
• Make the most of no-school days with our Unleashed Express mini day camps
• Party like an animal with a birthday party at AHS - complete with a shelter tour, games, crafts, and more
• Explore pet care, veterinary careers, and the costs of owning a pet as they earn their Junior Girl Scout Pet Care Badge
• Find out more about AHS with a guided tour of any AHS location
  
• Develop community service skills through a variety of service projects, including donations drives and items kids can make to help shelter animals
