Euthanasia services

When the time comes to say goodbye to your animal companion, the Animal Humane Society is here to support you. We understand the struggles of losing a beloved family pet and that is why we provide a humane and affordable euthanasia service to the public.

When the time is right, please contact our Incoming Animals department to discuss your options. You may contact them at 763-489-2203 or online. Veterinary technicians certified in lethal injection euthanasia perform each procedure with care and compassion.

To keep fees affordable, each euthanasia procedure is done by the next available technician. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate visitation requests during the procedure.

We provide this service for a variety of different animals. If you do not see your animal listed below, please discuss that with us when you call to set up your appointment. Please bring your pet to our Incoming Animals entrance during normal business hours. Euthanasia fees are as follows:

Chinchilla $25
Dog $50–60
Ferret $25
Guinea pig $10
Pot-bellied pig $85
Rabbit $50
Reptile $40
Rodent $10

Cremation services are also available to the public.
