Meet Our Shelter Star!
Bootsie Hi, my name is Bootsie. I have had a tough life as a stray. I am about 5 years old and never really had a home of my own. I've lived through many cold winters and hot summers, surviving on the kindness of others who have left food and water outside for me. I've suffered some frost bite on the pads of my paws, but I can't complain. I've also had some severe ear mites. They're gone now, but my ears have become sensitive and I'm still working on not scratching them, so my fur will continue to grow back.
I am such a lover. I love food. I love people... especially the attention I get. My most favorite places to be scratched are my head, cheeks, and chin. My favorite toys are catnip mice and ping-pong balls. Boy, do I have fun with them! While I've been staying at the Animal Humane Society, the volunteers have been teaching me how to walk on a harness and leash. I'm getting to like it, although I can't resist resting on the cool tile floor.
I have been around other animals, but it would be oh-so-nice to be an only pet. I need all the attention and love I can get. I have some time to make up for, you know. Most of all, I would be so happy to have a safe, comfy place to call home. I've been here in the shelter for awhile now. Don't get me wrong, everyone here is great. They are so nice to me and take such good care of me, but I can't help but yearn for my Forever Home.
I'm currently at the Coon Rapids location. If you're thinking about adopting a cat, please stop by and meet me.
