
The “Minnesota Companion Animal Protection Act” (MNCAPA) has been introduced at the Minnesota State Legislature by Representative John Benson. It would force sweeping changes to every animal shelter in the state with unreasonable requirements that would prevent the protection of Minnesota companion animals.
Animal Humane Society does not support this bill.
CURRENT STATUS OF THE BILL: H.F. 1735 has been referred to the House Health and Humane Services Committee. Discussions with legislators are taking place to discuss the ramifications of the bill.
