Issues and legislation: How you can help

1. Know the facts. Educate yourself on our current legislative efforts to properly explain the importance of each.
2. Be a voice for the animals. Stay current on our legislative efforts by becoming an Animal Humane Society Animal Advocate. Together, they  contact their state senators and representatives to support legislation that will keep animals safe. Talking points are provided.
3. Spread the word. Tell others about current animal welfare legislation. Ask your friends and family to become AHS Animal Advocates so they can do the same.
4. Adopt your next pet. There are millions of animals in shelters just here in Minnesota. Get to know them and you might just be amazed at what a shelter dog can provide.
