Our humane investigators receive reports about animals that are lacking proper food, water, and shelter. They also participate in larger, more complex cases involving cruelty and on site investigations and seizures.

The Animal Humane Society’s Humane Investigation team spends their days seeking justice for animals—from tiny birds to majestic horses. The small department of only two full-time investigators covers the state, responding to complaints from, veterinarians, law enforcement agencies and ordinary citizens who care about the welfare of animals.
