Around this time of year, turtles travel for miles, looking for good nesting areas. But, their journey is not always safe.
The Animal Humane Society’s Wildlife says they get about 30 turtles every spring.
One 20-year-old snapper came into the Animal Humane Society with a huge hole in her shell that exposed her spine. Her lower jaw was ripped into a couple pieces as well.
