Pia is Fox 9's Pick of the Litter

Pia is a two-year-old, red merle Australian cattle dog mix available for adoption at Animal Humane Society’s Golden Valley facility. She arrived at AHS from another animal welfare organization in early May. She’s a very smart girl that is eager to please a new family. Pia may not show it on camera, but she is a shy and fearful dog that will need a new owner who can provide her with ample patience. It may take her weeks to get used to her new home and her new family needs to give her the time she needs to get adjusted. Pia may also need to continue the training she’s receiving at AHS to overcome her fears so she can be a happy, outgoing pup.
