HealthPartners and Kindest Cut team up to help pet owners

A new partnership between HealthPartners and Kindest Cut, a partner of Animal Humane Society, is making affordable spay/neuter surgeries available and convenient for pet owners across the Twin Cities.

Having your pets spayed or neutered is crucial to preventing unwanted litters – many of whom end up in shelters. There are also health benefits to having your pets spayed or neutered. Neutered animals can live longer, happier lives than unaltered animals because they tend to have less health issues. And early spaying can reduce mammary gland tumors and ovarian and uterine cancers.

Thanks to HealthPartners, Kindest Cut will provide these much needed surgeries for cats, dogs and rabbits through a mobile surgical unit outside of seven HealthPartners clinic locations. Services are geared to pet owners with limited incomes who do not have the resources to sterilize their animals. Surgeries are performed by licensed veterinarians who are skilled at small animal care, with fees ranging from $40-100 depending on the gender and species.

Beginning in April through September, Kindest Cut will be performing surgeries in their mobile unit once per month at the following HealthPartners clinic locations:
