Breeder bill head to floor of House and Senate

Dog and cat breeder regulation bill language was included in the Minnesota Legislature's Conference Committee Report of the Omnibus Supplemental Budget Bill (H.F. 3172), issued early Friday. The report now goes to the House and Senate floors for a vote, and if passed, would then go to the governor for his signature.

Animal Humane Society supports the breeder regulation bill language as part of the Speak Up for Minnesota Dogs and Cats coalition.

Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton strongly supports the breeder regulation bill language, as noted in this blog post in the Star Tribune.

The legislature is required to be finished with its business for this session by Monday, May 19.
