MISCONCEPTION:
Now Boarding jeopardizes care of animals at Animal Humane Society

TRUTH: On the contrary! Now Boarding, a pet boarding and dog day care center near the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport, is a for-profit business owned by Animal Humane Society and operated by an independent staff.

Profits from Now Boarding will get distributed back to Animal Humane Society to support our non-profit operations. Furthermore, the money to build the facility was not taken from the animals. A small investment was made from board-restricted funds, but the bulk of the project was bank financed by Now Boarding to be paid back by Now Boarding.

Essentially, Now Boarding is a way to diversify funding to help the animals in our shelter. Instead of relying solely on donations and fees for the services we provide, dividends from Now Boarding can provide revenue to add to our operating budget.
