SHORT-TERM VOLUNTEERING

Animal Humane Society has a basic volunteer requirement of a one-year commitment for on-site volunteering. This commitment is important to allow for adequate timing for proper assessment and training of potential volunteers. In 2011, our average volunteer had served two years with the organization. 

We do seek short-term volunteers for special events.

Persons interested in volunteering with Animal Humane Society, but who cannot make the one-year commitment, might explore ways to contribute to our work through community service projects. These recommended projects happen off-site and are great ways for those with limited time to support Animal Humane Society.
