VOLUNTEERS MUST MEET ALL REQUIREMENTS:

• Be at least 16 years of age.*

• Understand and accept the Animal Humane Society's philosophies regarding open admissions and euthanasia. Click here for information on our philosophy.

• Have regular access to the internet and an email account.
   
• Communicate professionally, as human interaction is a requirement of ALL volunteer roles.
   
• Take and follow direction.
   
• Understand and fulfill all responsibilities of their role independently.
   
• Read and comprehend detailed policy and protocol information.
   
• Remember and follow shelter rules.
   
• With a positive attitude, emotionally manage a workplace that can be stressful.
   
• Commit to one full year of service with either a recurring, bi-weekly schedule if working on-site or 24 days of service if fostering.
