When CoCo, the sable ferret was adopted in April 2008, it was clear that her previous owner had taken great care of her because she was friendly and mellow. Her new family found her on our website. When she got to her new home, she bonded right away with her new ferret buddies. They all jumped in the hammock together and took a nap.
Now, CoCo is right at home in her new place, stealing socks from the laundry pile, wrestling with sister Peyton and lounging on the three-season porch. Peyton came from our Woodbury location, while CoCo came from our Golden Valley site. They spend a lot of time on the heated bathroom floor, roasting their bellies, then flipping over to warm their backs. They love causing mischief together, chattering and running around the house looking for attention and playing with toys. CoCo’s fortunate that her family already knew how much responsibility it takes to care for ferrets. As they age, ferrets may require medications and special care. CoCo’s family has had ferrets for 10 years, so they have learned that it takes a great deal of dedication to properly care for her.
