Is your child interested in volunteering with their guinea pig in the community? Have them attend this class to learn what is involved to visit nursing homes, hospitals, libraries, homeless shelters, and more with their guinea pig.
This class will teach your child age 10-18 how to train and care for their animal. Students will learn visiting skills and practice them in a simulation setting with their guinea pig. There will also be some fun with a knowledge bowl and other activities related to guinea pigs.
People only the first day of class. The guinea pigs will attend starting the second day of class. All guinea pigs need to be in a carrier. Students need to have a harness and leash for their guinea pig.
Registration required. Cost is $50 per child. This week-long class runs from August 3-7 from 10:30 a.m. to noon each day . Please call (763) 489-2217 for more information.
