Adoption events will take place simultaneously throughout Minnesota on Saturday, August 22 when MnPaw, the Minnesota Partnership for Animal Welfare, hosts its first event since becoming an organization earlier this year.
Potential pet adopters will have the chance to adopt a cat or dog at these adoption events taking place at animal welfare organizations in Golden Valley, St. Cloud and Duluth.
MnPAW is a coalition of animal welfare organizations throughout Minnesota who are committed to working together to aid animals in Minnesota. The coalition shares the belief that by joining forces to use ideas, expertise and resources in a coordinated way the partnering organizations can make a greater impact on reducing euthanasia of adoptable animals. Members include A Rotta Love Plus, Animal Allies Humane Society, Animal Humane Society, Chuck and Don’s Pet Food Outle , Minneapolis Animal Control, Minnesota Spay Neuter Project, Pet Haven Inc. of Minnesota, Retrieve a Golden of Minnesota (RAGOM),St. Paul Animal Control and Tri-County Humane Society
Members were selected to represent varying philosophies of animal welfare in Minnesota, including open admission, limited admission, advocacy and municipal; animal control, sheltered humane societies and foster based rescues of varying sizes; public and private entities and geographic regions throughout the State. Although the founding member organizations may have differing philosophies, programs and services we all share the commitment to saving and improving the lives of animals in Minnesota.
